“War on Drugs” a Joke?

I’m going to link a few articles below for you to check out today regarding a recent scandal with the British HSBC bank. Essentially, Mexican drug cartels laundered $200 TRILLION through this bank between 2006-2009 and their penalty has been a simple fine of $1.9 Billion. The largest fine of its kind yes, but it only equates to about 5 weeks of drug income that the bank was making. If you look at the amount of deaths equated to the drug war each year and the amount of money that taxpayers spend, it’s certainly worth re-evaluating.
